Research

Our research concerns the creation, curation, adaptation, and long-term preservation of language resources and tools. While focussing on Tyrol, our work stretches across disciplines (humanities, social sciences, computer science), languages (Italian, German, English, Ladin, Cimbrian, Czech, French, Dutch), geographical boundaries and communities (researchers, language-related professionals, pupils, citizens). We coordinate working groups, run transfer-oriented workshops, build corpora, adapt third-party tools, develop crowdsourcing activities, maintain local resource infrastructures and help shape best practice.

We’re committed to Open Science and subscribe to the FAIR guiding principles for scientific data management and stewardship. Where possible, we always make our work available under open licences.

In 2021, we were awarded the Eurac Research’s first Open Research Award.
